At Xtreme Renovations Pretoria, we are committed to fair and transparent dealings with all our clients. This Refund Policy explains our approach to deposits, payments, cancellations, and refunds for renovation, installation, and repair services.
1. Deposits & Stage Payments
- A deposit (typically 30% of the quoted amount) is required before work commences or materials are ordered. This deposit secures your booking, covers initial costs, and is non-refundable once work has started or materials have been purchased.
- Stage payments are due at agreed milestones (e.g. after demolition, after installation, upon completion). These are non-refundable once the relevant stage has been completed.
2. Refunds Before Work Starts
- If you cancel before any work has begun and before any materials have been ordered or purchased, we will refund 100% of any deposit paid, less an administrative fee of R500 (or 5% of the deposit, whichever is greater).
- If materials have already been ordered or purchased on your behalf, the cost of those materials (plus delivery fees) will be deducted from any refund. We will provide invoices to show these costs.
3. Cancellations After Work Has Started
- Once work has commenced (demolition, installation, plastering, etc.) or materials have been delivered and used, no refunds will be issued on completed stages or materials already incorporated.
- Deposits and stage payments for work already carried out are non-refundable.
- If you cancel mid-project, you remain liable for payment of all work completed up to the date of cancellation, plus the cost of any ordered/purchased materials not yet installed.
4. Defective Work or Dissatisfaction
- If you are not satisfied with the work, please notify us in writing within 7 days of completion (or within the warranty period for defects).
- We will inspect the work and, if the issue is due to our workmanship, we will repair or rectify it at no additional cost under our workmanship guarantee.
- Refunds will only be considered in exceptional cases where repair is not possible and the service was materially defective. Any refund will be partial and calculated based on the value of the defective portion only.
5. Material Warranties
We do not manufacture materials. Any refund or replacement for faulty materials is handled directly through the manufacturer/supplier according to their warranty terms. We will assist you in the process.
6. Force Majeure & Delays
We are not liable for refunds or compensation due to delays or inability to perform caused by events beyond our control (e.g. strikes, load-shedding, material shortages, weather, municipal delays, or client-caused delays).
7. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
All refund or cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to xtremehomerenovations@gmail.com or WhatsApp to 075 022 2654. Include your name, project address, quote/invoice number, and reason for the request. We will respond within 3 business days.
