Why is your quote different from another contractor’s?

Not all quotes cover the same scope. Our quotes always include VAT, labour, materials, waterproofing, site cleanup and project management. Many cheaper quotes exclude waterproofing, use inferior materials or don’t include finishing work. Always compare line by line — not just the total.

How long does a kitchen renovation take?

You have one point of contact throughout.

Do I need to be home during the renovation?

Not necessarily. Many of our clients are at work during the day. We provide regular photo updates throughout the project. You do need to be available for key decisions and the final walkthrough, but you don’t need to be on-site daily.

Do you handle all trades or do I need to source my own electrician and plumber?

We handle everything. Our quotes include all trades — tiling, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and waterproofing. You deal with one company, one quote and one point of contact. No coordinating multiple contractors.

Do I need to supply my own tiles and materials?

You have the choice. Many clients prefer to supply their own tiles and materials to get exactly the look they want. We can also supply and source all materials for you — we’ll include everything in the quote. Either way works for us.

What is a 3D design and do I really need one?

A 3D design is a realistic computer-generated preview of your renovation before any work begins. It lets you see exactly what your kitchen or bathroom will look like — including cabinet finishes, tile choices and layout. We include this free with every quote. It prevents costly changes mid-project and gives you complete confidence before you commit.

Do I need building plans or council approval for my renovation?

It depends on the scope. Cosmetic renovations (painting, flooring, kitchen and bathroom remodels) generally don’t require council approval. Structural work — removing or adding walls, extensions, adding a room or second storey — requires approved building plans from the City of Tshwane. We handle all plan submissions and approvals as part of our service.

Can I live in my home during the renovation?

In most cases yes, especially for single-room renovations like a kitchen or bathroom. For full home renovations, you may need to make alternative arrangements for 1–3 weeks depending on which rooms are being renovated simultaneously. We’ll advise you on this during the planning phase.

What happens if something goes wrong after the renovation is complete?

We stand behind our work. All our renovations come with a workmanship guarantee. If anything is not right after handover, contact us and we’ll come back to fix it at no charge. We’ve been in business for 10+ years and our reputation is built on doing things right.

What kitchen cabinet finishes do you offer?

We offer a wide range of finishes including high gloss, matte, wood veneer/melamine wrap, painted cabinets, two-tone combinations and custom colours. Our design team will show you samples and help you choose the right finish for your kitchen and lifestyle during your free design consultation.

What countertop materials do you use?

We work with laminate, granite, engineered stone/quartz, Silestone and marble countertops. Each has different price points, durability characteristics and maintenance requirements. We’ll guide you through the options during your design consultation.

Can I change my mind about materials once work has started?

You can — but changes mid-project cause delays and add cost. That’s exactly why we invest in the 3D design phase upfront. Once you’ve approved the design, materials are ordered and work begins. Last-minute changes may result in additional charges and timeline extensions.
